Shepherds Inn Pub Melmerby - lovely country pub with good ale and delicious food. "The Shepherds will offer a high standard of food, using locally sourced ingredients in regularly changing menus featuring imaginative twists on traditional dishes. One feature will be the use of Hesket beers in some dishes, as well as suggestions as to which beers and wines best compliment other specialities. Local suppliers will include the highly regarded Village Bakery across the green in Melmerby. The aim is for the Shepherds to become a destination eating place whilst also catering for the needs of locals and tourists."
